In order to create opportunities for partners to explore varying vantage points related to key issues facing our community, ImpactTulsa holds Perspectives sessions. These networking sessions create opportunity for meaningful dialogue by sharing information about the particular topic and then creating space for participants to engage in both small group and large group conversation to explore differing ideas, experiences, and knowledge that shape varying opinions about an issue. We believe having these spaces helps broaden our collective understanding of community needs, as well as creates opportunity to deepen relationships with one another through meaningful dialogue.

On October 12th, we invite you to join us for a Perspectives session that focuses on the role of nonprofits in shaping public policy. In this session, participants will be provided with an overview of the rules and opportunities around engaging in advocacy and lobbying as a nonprofit, opportunity to discuss barriers to engaging in this work and identify opportunities for strategic collaboration, and space to explore practical applications that could further organizational missions and improve our community.
