Aubrey serves as ImpactTulsa’s head of Cradle to Career Initiatives. Aubrey is a passionate advocate seeking to facilitate meaningful change for the children, families, and communities of Tulsa. In service to all children and adults, Aubrey is also proud to be an innovator, reimagining the possibilities for public education, public policy, and political engagement.
Aubrey’s professional career has included 10 years as a classroom teacher and instructional mentor. Most recently, Aubrey served as a school leader at Tulsa Public Schools for more than seven years. As a building principal, Aubrey led her school to decrease chronic absenteeism by nearly 10%, increase reading proficiencies to a proud 73%, while also increasing and diversifying the student and teacher population.
Aubrey received her Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences, Elementary Education, from Portland State University in 2003. She also received her Master of Education, Administration, Curriculum, and Supervision from the University of Oklahoma in 2017 and is currently working toward a doctorate of Education, Administration, Curriculum, and Supervision from the University of Oklahoma. In April of 2022, Aubrey was honored with the National Milken Educator Award for her efforts to serve the Tulsa community, reimagining learning possibilities amid the global pandemic.
When not working alongside children, educators, families, community leaders, corporate and nonprofit organizations within our community, Aubrey is a partner to her husband and best friend Brad and a mom to their awesome five children Charley, Jake, Ford, Mason and Wyatt.
